Winchester Community Music School Profile and History

WCMS is a nonprofit organization serving more than 850 students from over 30 towns, including Woburn, Stoneham, Lexington, Medford, Arlington, and Burlington. With over 30 years of excellence in music education, an exceptional faculty, and a state-of-the-art facility, we provide the finest professional instruction to our students, and a world of music to our community and beyond! Our faculty of mo re than 60 performing artists offer private lessons in a wide range of instruments and voice. Our registrar can help you find a teacher who matches your interests and goals. New students can enroll at any time and can augment their music study with lessons in composition, song writing, recording/production, or music theory. We offer ensembles of every style-chamber, jazz, rock, blues, and more. Whatever your preference, whatever your instrument-be it piano or percussion, voice or viola, bass or bassoon-you can be part of an ensemble. All levels welcome, from beginner to advanced. Our group classes start at 18 months old, and this year we have more children's music classes and sessions than ever, particularly for our popular Dalcroze Eurhythmics classes.
