Wesco was founded in 1952 by Bud Westgate, a World War II veteran who saw opportunity in the gas station business. Starting with a small cinder block building and two pumps on Whitehall Road, Bud laid the foundation for what would become a thriving, family-run enterprise. In the 1970s, his sons Jim and Jerry Westgate joined the company as Co-Presidents, driving growth and expansion.
