Upward Sports Profile and History

Established in 1995, Upward Sports (a 501(c)(3) organization) is the world's largest Christian sports league for youth athletics. Upward Sports provides valuable resources that aid in planning, training and executing both recreational and performance-level divisions. Upward Sports serves athletes across all competitive levels and ages with one message: Play with purpose. Upward Stars teams compete at the highest level of competition in tournaments across the nation each year. The mission of Upward Sports is to promote the discovery of Jesus through sports. Today, approximately 500,000 players participate in Upward Sports recreation clinics, camps and leagues annually in 45 U.S. states, hosted by more than 2,000 church partners. During the past 18 years, more than 5 million young athletes and 1 million leaders have been involved with the program.
