PRB Associates Profile and History

PRB Associates specialises in economic, operational and business analysis and market appraisal in the Shipping, Ports, Transport and Logistics sectors, with particular focus on short sea unit load (ferry and container service) activities. Peter Baker has a working background in Operational Research and Finance and latterly as a Manager and Business Analyst for a major terminal and ferry operator. After founding PRB Associates in 1998, projects have been successfully completed for freight generators, freight transport service providers, port operators and various public sector organisations; including the Department for Transport and DEFRA. Assignments, led by PRB Associates, or contributing as part of a larger project team, have ranged from service analyses, feasibility studies and economic impact studies, to market appraisal, national transport strategy formulation and UK ports resilience.
