Phoenix Geophysics Profile and History

Phoenix Geophysics is a high-tech Canadian manufacturer of world-class geophysical instruments and an experienced geophysical survey contractor. Phoenix products have been used in more than 70 countries on six continents over the past 20 years and serve an international clientele of academic institutions, government agencies, consultants and resource exploration companies. Combining extensive engi neering knowledge and real-world experience, Phoenix provides a complete magnetotellurics exploration strategy. Phoenix electromagnetic equipment is used for hydrocarbon, geothermal, mining and groundwater exploration, as well as hazardous waste delineation, dam site monitoring, earthquake research and deep crustal geological studies. The personnel of Phoenix Geophysics have been leaders in the application of geophysical electrical methods since shortly after World War II. Phoenix engineers and geophysicists pioneered ground and airborne electromagnetic techniques, induced polarization methods, and natural field electromagnetic measurements. Today, Phoenix is the world's largest Audiofrequency Magnetotelluric (AMT) and Induced Polarization (IP) manufacturer. Our equipment also includes capabilities for all-digital Time Domain Electromagnetics (TDEM) and Frequency Domain Electromagnetics (FDEM). Phoenix has sold equipment and services to government agencies, research institutions, geophysical contractors, mining, geothermal and oil companies in more than 70 countries worldwide. Most recently Phoenix has expanded into even more markets around the world, including Russia and Latin America. Phoenix Geophysics is located in Toronto, Ontario, the largest city in Canada and the provincial capital.
