International Trade Council Profile and History

The International Trade Council is the public voice of domestic and international trade related organisations. The Council supports industry and policymakers to build sustainable trade relationships of the highest quality through vision, leadership, collaboration, professional development, and research. The International Trade Council is an independent, nonpartisan membership organisation, think-t ank, and publisher dedicated to being a resource for its members, government officials, business executives, journalists, educators and students, civic leaders, and other interested citizens in order to help them better understand the world of domestic and international trade. It is the ITCs mission to encourage the highest quality research through support investigator-driven frontier research across all fields related to trade and trade finance. The Council is investigator-driven and bottom-up in nature, allowing members and associated bodies to identify new opportunities and directions in any field of research, rather than being led by priorities set by policy-makers and politicians.
