GSW Arena Profile and History

GSW Arena LLC, an affiliate of Golden State Warriors, LLC, which owns and operates the Golden State Warriors National Basketball Association team, proposes to construct a multi-purpose event center and a variety of mixed uses on Blocks 29-32 within the Mission Bay area of San Francisco. The San Francisco Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure, as lead agency responsible for administerin g the environmental review for private projects in the Mission Bay Redevelopment Plan Area of San Francisco, has determined that an environmental impact report (EIR) is required for the proposed project in compliance with the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act. On April 30, 2015 Governor Jerry Brown certified this project as an environmental leadership development project under the Jobs and Economic Improvement through Environmental Leadership Act (Assembly Bill 900 or AB 900). A Draft Subsequent EIR was published on June 5, 2015 to inform governmental agencies and the public of the potential environmental impacts of the proposed event center and mixed use development, recommended mitigation measures to lessen significant adverse impacts, and comparative merits of alternatives to the project.
