China Southern Asset Management Profile and History

Approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), China Southern Asset Management Co., Ltd. was established on March 6, 1998, and became one of the first regulated fund management companies in China. China Southern Asset Management Co. is headquartered in Shenzhen, with registered capital of RMB150 million. The shareholder structure consists of Huatai Securities Co., Ltd. (45%); Shenz hen Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. (30%); Xiamen International Trust Co., Ltd. (15%) and Industrial Securities Co., Ltd. (10%). At present, we have branch offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Hefei. In addition, we have a subsidiary in Hong Kong - CSOP Asset Management Limited, which is one of the first overseas subsidiary companies of domestic fund managers approved by CSRC. By the end of 2012, there are about 360 professional staffs in our company. More than 55% of the employees have master's degree or above, nearly 70% of the employees have more than 7 years of working experience in the securities industry. The research and investment team members have an average of 8 years of relevant working experience, and more than 40% of them have overseas study and/or working experiences. Having experienced the growth pains of the Chinese capital market and cycles of bull and bear stock markets, we have gained the brand-recognition and trust of our fund investors with the steady investment performance, disciplined risk management and excellent customer services. We have consistently drawn more incremental investments from China National Social Security Boards, top corporate annuity fund customers and private clients. As of December 31, 2012, with total asset under management (AUM) of RMB 227.1 billion, China Southern Asset Management Co. ranked among the best in the fund management industry in China. More specifically, we manage 37 open-end funds and 2 closed-end funds with AUM of RMB 152.6 billion arising from these public funds.
