Children's Cancer of Palm Beach County Profile and History

STOP! Childrens Cancer of Palm Beach County, Inc. is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, dedicated to raising money to fund research for pediatric oncology. Until 1990, the donations supported research, medicines and laboratory equipment at Shands Childrens Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Later that year, an endowment was created to sustain the ongoing annual efforts at Shands, to include a team of doctors and fellows dedicated to finding a cure. In the early 2000s, Miami Childrens Hospital, St. Mary's Medical Center, The Nicklaus Childrens Health Care Foundation and the Nicklaus Childrens Hospital approached STOP! for financial consideration on specific oncology projects. With careful reflection, STOP! identified the needs and expanded their funding to also support these organizations.
