Charlotte Bilingual Preschool provides English-language learners with a superior early childhood education customized for dual language learners in a literacy rich environment. Founded in 1999, CBP is a four-star licensed preschool serving 72 children and dedicated to serving the booming population of at-risk, Spanish-speaking children. Teachers invoke an intentional dual language approach, incorp orating special techniques and strategies that stimulate Spanish and English literacy skills. They use unit lessons and books in Spanish and English and assessment tools to help monitor and promote student progress. Our parents are critical to each child's ongoing success. Our Parent Program teaches families to continue literacy development and learning at home through home visits, ongoing parenting and life skills workshops, leadership development, English Language Learner classes, and referrals to community resources.
