Banca Intesa is a Russian subsidiary of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group (Italy), one of the largest banking groups in the eurozone and the absolute leader of the Italian banking services market with a history of almost five centuries. The size of the market capitalization of Intesa Sanpaolo, as of 31.03.2021, amounted to 44.9 billion euros. According to this indicator, the Group ranks 3rd among the larg est banks in the eurozone. Intesa Sanpaolo ranks 1st in Italy in terms of loans issued (the market share is 20.6%) and attracted customer funds (22%), in terms of assets in trust management (24.8%), controls 23.5% of the pension fund market.
